Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Sr. Employment Relations/Investigator to join our Employee Relations team! This individual will bring significant employee relations expertise, excellent judgment, and highly developed analytical and communication skills. The position follows a hybrid work schedule working out of the Virginia Beach or Fairfax location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex employment related investigations, end-to-end, including conducting intake meetings, background research, investigation reviews, complete thorough and well-documented investigation reports, and debrief meetings, across all Mission Technologies locations (CONUS and OCONUS).
- Support other team members on standard ethics investigation process and templates to ensure reports are timely, concise, and thorough.
- Provide input and recommend process improvements based on the assessment of quarterly metrics, ethics survey results, audit results and other sources to enhance service quality and improve overall results.
- Conduct briefings with legal counsel, Human Resources and leaders, as required.
- Provide sound analysis, solid data, confirmed facts, and insights into understanding the root causes.
- Assess the severity of the conduct for substantiated matters and recommend appropriate corrective actions to include employment-related disciplinary consequences.
- Provide relevant and pro-active training to business groups in partnership with Human Capital Business Partners. Provide ethics and business conduct related training to Mission Technologies leaders in support of formal leadership training programs and as needed based on trends and organizational needs.
- Support the Mission Technologies Compliance program in support of the Human Capital work plans.
- Assist management to build the company culture toward ever-improving business ethics and business practices.
- Execute the HII Dispute Resolution Process related to terminated employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant legislation.
What you need to have:
- 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 8 year relevant with Masters in related field; or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
