About the role

Are you passionate about design systems and front-end development? And would you like to be part of a journey that aims to make Tryg's customer experience best in class?

About us

While working with design systems you will be a part of a team full of enthusiasm, passion and in-depth knowledge about user-centred design. You will join a friendly, collaborative, safe and supportive workplace. We are serious about a healthy work-life balance and having a great time together with our colleagues. What we do matters to others and reflects positively on the atmosphere and the way we work at Tryg.

About the role

In DesignOps our job is to support Tryg with front-end work across business units. We work with design culture, design systems and design at scale. We support both front-end developers, UX'ers, PO's, etc. in their daily work building the interface between Tryg and our customers.

We are a highly specialised team characterised by an unpretentious culture, a strong set of skills and a deep passion for user-centred product design.

From a technical perspective you will be working with a project containing our UI (user interface) components, which are web components built with StencilJS. But you will also be a part of a project containing our design tokens, built with StyleDictionary. Both projects will be released as NPM packages.

You'll be adding new tokens, building components, releasing new versions of our packages. This includes unit testing and accessibility.

Personally, you will be supporting and helping teams using our components and tokens. A big part of our job is to introduce the design system to new developers and teams and help them see how they will benefit from using our components.

About you

We are open to diverse backgrounds, but we expect you to have around 3-5 years of experience in front-end development in an agile environment and have a solid mindset for building user-centred products.

You are also eager to talk with people about new ideas and present the work we do in DesignOps. Keeping an open mind and approaching people with respect and curiosity is important to us. These skills will come in handy as we are expected to support the tools we build.

Curious?

As we will be interviewing on a rolling basis, please send your application as soon as possible, but no later than 23rd of February.

If you have any questions regarding the role, you are welcome to contact Head of DesignOps, Thomas Sebell at thomas.sebell@tryg.dk.
