Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Project Controller to join our team at our nickel refinery plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in supporting project controls activities, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management for industrial projects. This role requires a deep understanding of project controls principles and the ability to work in a refinery setting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. 
  • Work across multidisciplinary teams to develop and maintain scheduling in Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6, or similar software.  
  • Support the monitoring of project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any deviations from the plan. 
  • Assist in the preparation and review of project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts. 
  • Implement and maintain project control systems and tools to track project performance. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and support the development of mitigation plans to address potential project risks. 
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution. 
  • Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders. 
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry-specific standards. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project controls. 
  • Provide technical support to project controls specialists and other team members. 
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to project controls. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on industrial projects. 
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). 
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, cost control, and risk management. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Commitment to safety and sustainability.
