Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is looking to hire an Office Associate. This position will provide information, rules, regulations, policy, and procedures to clientele via phone/Public Service Area that is pertinent to the various license and permit programs, will interpret and analyze legal documents related to Trusts, LLCs, Corporations and Partnerships, review and proofread applications and related documents for accuracy, utilize a microfilm reading machine to look up archived records via microfilm reel as needed, utilize a personal computer to access the online based licensing & permitting system, and will examine information and navigate the portal to approve/reject permitting applications. Essential Functions
- Under general direction, performs complex specialized clerical and analytical, interpretive, and informational duties involved in the issuance of various license and permits for deer and turkey.
- Performs analytical and interpretive work.
- Reviews Applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Compares the accuracy of computer and hard copy applications.
- Oversees the mailing of various registration materials.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of office experience.
- Ability to keyboarding accurately at 45 wpm.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year of extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, and programs
One (1) year of working knowledge of basic mathematics
One (1) year of working experience proofreading documents.
One (1) year of experience in data entry skills
One (1) year of working experience interpreting and analyzing legal documents related to Trust, LLCs, Corporations and Partnerships.
