Job Description

Internship Program Overview 

At ServiceNow, we’re looking for students who want to learn, grow, and take a giant step early in their careers, all while making a giant impact. We offer 12-week summer internship opportunities across various business functions.  

Interns will participate in executive speaker series, career development workshops, philanthropic efforts, and team-building activities. Additionally, interns will have access to online learnings and a dedicated summer coach to further grow their careers with us.

Candidates hired for Software Quality Engineer internships will be part of the Unified Technology Group (UTG).

Quality Engineer Interns will have the opportunity to:    

• Test and verify code prior to shipment into production.   
• Develop with a wide variety of automated testing frameworks, including Java, JUnit, Selenium, TestNG and other open-source projects.   
• Work within a software development team to develop, test, deploy and report on product performance, quality, security, and stability.   
• Test web interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.   

Qualifications

Who you are: 

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a full-time student, pursuing a Bachelors, or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.   
  • Graduating December 2024, or later 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization
  • Commit to a 12-week summer 2024 internship (May - August or June - September 2024)
• Experience in C++, Java, Perl, PHP, or Python.   
• Knowledge of, or experience with automated testing frameworks: Java, Junit, Selenium, TestNG, etc. 
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.   
• Preferred: Demonstrated software engineering, or quality engineering, experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications.

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $41.69 - $47.82, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
