Job Description

The Center for Health Equity & Community Wellness (CHECW) seeks to eliminate inequities resulting in premature mortality. With an unwavering grounding in history and structural analysis, CHECW works to increase visibility of the harm perpetuated by unjust policy while pushing towards redress for the most impacted NYC communities. CHECW addresses inequity across community and healthcare systems in partnership with community, faith-based, and health care organizations. CHECW's work focuses on social determinants of health, including environmental and commercial determinants, and addresses both upstream and downstream factors to improve health and well-being of New Yorkers. CHECW is comprised of the Bureau of Bronx Neighborhood Health, the Bureau of Brooklyn Neighborhood Health, the Bureau of Harlem Neighborhood Health, the Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention, the Bureau of Equity Capacity Building, the Bureau of Equitable Health Systems and the Bureau of Finance, Administration and Services. The division's Deputy Commissioner also serves as the Agency's Chief Medical Officer.

The Bureau of Equitable Health Systems (BEHS) is the healthcare systems bureau of DOHMH. Our mission is to apply policy, evidence, and practical expertise to improve equity in health care delivery at the individual, organizational, and systems levels. Located within the BEHS, the Program Evaluation and Planning (PEP) team leverages data, public health principles, and evidence-based clinical guidelines to conduct quality improvement, provide education to providers, and advance primary care through support and innovation. As part of the PEP team, the Preventive Medicine Residency Program fosters the development of public health education and practice among the next generation of physicians. The Bureau of Equitable Health Systems is seeking to hire a highly organized and detailed-oriented Senior Program Coordinator to support Program Evaluation and Planning team and manage the daily operations of our ACGME-accredited Preventive Medicine Residency Program. As part of the Program Evaluation team, the Senior Program Coordinator will engage in strategic planning, program evaluation, and quality improvement activities.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Conducting and supporting program evaluation strategic planning, quality improvement, and educational activities: Conduct analytics for CME-related activities for providers and CME team. Act as analytical support for PEP team quality improvement activities in core chronic disease and preventive health areas (i.e., maternal health). Assist in grant writing, strategic planning, and communications for PEP projects. Provide support in training sessions or workshops related to data collection, quality improvement, evaluation and clinician education. Overseeing all analytical and administrative aspects of the residency program, ensuring compliance with ACGME, institutional, and department policies: Conduct analytics on milestones, board eligibility, and training outcomes and develop new metrics to measure success in meeting program goals where applicable. Assist program leadership in preparing reports and communications on program analytics Maintain accurate records and databases, including the ACGME Web ADS, New Innovations, and other residency management systems. Support educational programming, including didactics, grand rounds, workshops, and conferences. Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, faculty, and accrediting bodies.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Outstanding research, analytical, and writing skills, with strong attention to detail.
Experience with programmatic and/or business analytics reporting.
At least 2 years of administrative experience, with a strong understanding of ABPM and ACGME policies, and GME best practices.
Ability to synthesize and present information on complex programs, policies, and budgeting.
Professional experience in collaborating with leadership on strategic planning initiatives aimed at driving continuous quality improvement.
Track record of successfully fostering relationships with external stakeholders to identify strategic collaboration opportunities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and residency management platforms (i.e., New Innovations).
Previous experience as a residency coordinator or administrator in a medical or public health setting that conducts CME activities.
Familiarity with NYC government and administrative processes.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
