What we want
The Senior Utilities Maintenance Technicians is highly skilled in the maintenance of industrial mechanical systems and executes work assignments safely and efficiently in such a manner as to restore or improve the reliability of the equipment being maintained. Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery as directed.

Salary: $24.11-$26.52/hr
This position is located in College Station, TX. Remote/Work from alternate location is not available at this time.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED and Experience
Five years of experience in the maintenance of equipment such as industrial power boilers, steam and/or gas turbine driven generators, or industrial or commercial chilling equipment.
Graduation from a Technical Trades School or Apprenticeship program in applicable field can be an equivalent on experience requirement
Required Licenses and Certifications
Valid Texas Class C Drivers license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Completion of TAMU training & development program for Senior Utilities Maintenance Technicians within 9 months of employment.
Forklift certification within 6 months of employment or when training next available through EH&S.
Failure to successfully complete any of the Senior Utilities Maintenance Technicians testing and/or training program may result in termination.
Preferred Qualifications
Category 1, Certified Vibration Analysis; ISA Certification – Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Basic understanding of root cause analysis methods. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management or Asset Management Systems
Responsibilities
Maintenance- Performs preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance and repair on various types of heavy equipment such as gas turbines, turbine/generators, industrial boilers, chillers and all associated equipment. Diagnoses malfunctions through root cause analysis, troubleshoots, and assists in making recommendations to avoid future failures. This may require driving a university vehicle to satellite plants.
Shaft Alignment- Performs shaft alignments, maintains and replaces bearings, lubricants, packing and mechanical seals. This may require driving a university vehicle to satellite plants.
Welding- Fits and welds steam piping, high pressure water piping and structural steel, brazes and solders connections. Cuts and shapes metal using gas or mechanical methods.
