We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic multi-specialty clinic and rehabilitation services team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with patients across various specialties including Cardiology, Neurology, Kidney Care, Urology, Orthopedics, and General Surgery, in addition to providing services in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and stress testing. The ideal candidate will be adept at patient assessment, skilled in providing comprehensive nursing care, and committed to patient education and rehabilitation in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
 

Salary Full-Time:
Monday – Friday (Office is closed on Holidays)

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough patient assessments across multiple specialties, including taking health histories, performing physical exams, monitoring vital signs, and evaluating patient needs related to cardiology, neurology, kidney care, urology, orthopedics, and general surgery conditions.
  • Specialty Clinic Support: Assist physicians and specialists in the management of patient care, including coordinating diagnostic tests, administering medications and treatments, and documenting patient progress and responses to interventions.
  • Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized exercise and education programs for patients recovering from cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
  • Stress Testing: Assist with and monitor patients during cardiac stress testing procedures, including preparing patients, monitoring vital signs and heart rhythms, and ensuring patient safety throughout the test. Send all testing documents to the appropriate location for reading.
  • Patient Education: Provide comprehensive patient and family education on various topics including disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, rehabilitation programs, and post-procedure care across all specialties serviced by the clinic.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Emergency Response: Respond effectively and efficiently to medical emergencies in the clinic setting, initiating emergency resuscitative measures as needed.
  • Documentation and Administration: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHRs), including patient assessments, interventions, outcomes, and communication with other healthcare providers. May assist with scheduling and clerical tasks as needed.  Will need to learn EPIC, Isalus, and CPSI.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care delivery within the clinic.
     

The Qualifications, Skills and/or Knowledge You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing (required)
  • Current licensure in the state of Kentucky (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a clinic or outpatient setting, with experience in a combination of the specialties served (e.g., medical-surgical, card
