We're looking for a highly organised and proactive People Development Officer to help us deliver engaging learning opportunities that enable our colleagues to provide outstanding, service user-led support across the organisation. Working within our Learning and Development team, you'll be at the heart of our learning and development function. You'll coordinate learning activities, support the administration and continuous improvement of our Learning Management System, provide advice and guidance to managers and colleagues, and help ensure learning remains accessible, effective and aligned with organisational priorities.

Key Responsibilities
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
You will combine L&D administration, systems coordination and people development activities.
As the first point of contact for administrative support with the L&D team you will ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of learning activities, while supporting learning needs analysis, reporting and advice and support for managers and staff.
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT TASKS
• Act as the first point of contact for L&D enquiries, ensuring effective prioritisation and response in relation to general L&D processes and procedures, the Learning Management System (LMS), L&D intranet pages, e-learning and both classroom-based and online facilitated learning.
• Liaise with learning providers to organise efficient and effective working and resolve queries.
• Schedule facilitated learning, manage calendars and communications, including:
• Scheduling facilitated learning sessions on MS Teams or Zoom.
• Sending out calendar invites, reminders, Zoom links, survey links, supporting materials and certificates of learning.
• Distributing and processing attendance lists.
• Coordinate cancellation charges.
• Providing troubleshooting to learners accessing online learning via MS Teams and Zoom.
• Meet, greet and be available to support trainers.
• Conduct trainer reference checks.
• Advise and coach managers around processes, procedures, policies and information held on the LMS/HRIS.
• Conduct Learning Needs Analyses, analysing data, identifying gaps and recommending and/or arrange targeted local support for our services.
• Produce and analyse management information reports, identifying trends risks and opportunities and make recommendations to improve engagement and compliance.
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION
• Administer and maintain data accurately on the LMS, our HR system (iTrent) and L&D intranet pages.
• Coordinate and respond to LMS enquiries including course module, attendance certificates, allocation, login and team data queries.
• Liaise with HR, IT and LMS provider as required, raising cases to resolve systems issues.
• Set up Survey Monkey feedback surveys and monitor feedback, highlighting themes or high priority feedback.
• Provide one-to-one or group support or learning for staff using the LMS and L&D intranet pages.
• Upload, maintain and quality assure learning resources, communications and records across systems.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Astute financial administration including coordinating, processing and signing-off invoices, booking facilitated learning within budgets.
• Participate in and support projects in the wider department.
• Take meeting minutes.
