Associate Surgical Technician *Days*

Associate Surgical Technician at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA. This is a full-time position that will work 8-hour Day shifts.
Prepares surgery suite for surgical procedures. Functions as a "sterile" member of the surgical team during procedures. Responsible for providing appropriate instrumentation and supplies to the surgeon in using aseptic technique. The Surgical Technologist performs specific duties while covering for Surgical Tech on break which include but are not limited to: provide active coverage, continue assisting surgeon during operation within the surgical technologist scope of practice, prepares rooms, assists the surgical team during operative procedures, assists in cleaning and preparing the room between procedures, maintains aseptic technique.

Required qualifications:
- Coursework/Training and Course in surgical technology or equivalent on the job training.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
Preferred qualifications:
- Upon hire: Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)
- 1 year of experience
