About the team

 

The SAP Customer Success NA Sales Specialized Controlling team is made up of a highly talented and diverse group of people.  More than half the team has been in role <1 year, which has created a lot of opportunities to leverage new approaches to learning and working.  The team spans the US with colleagues in Boston, the Philadelphia area, the Midwest, and California. We have embraced the virtual working environment, we have never all been in the same room together at the same time (unless you count Microsoft Teams!).  In 2023, we are tackling a good deal of organizational and Go-to-Market change and making great progress with a positive and Agile mindset.   

 

What you’ll do:

 

Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Customer Success North America Sales Controlling

Location: Newtown Square, PA – please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings

Expected start date: April 2024

Contract Duration: 6 months

Open to Remote / Virtual: Yes (Ideally we can spend some time in the office, so proximity to NSQ is preferred)

 

In this role, you’ll:

 

The primary functions of SAP CS NA Sales Controlling Intern are to support key regional controlling activities including but not limited to supporting the business in near and long-term financial planning, reporting, and analysis, as well as financial business partnering to support the overall business initiatives and strategy. Specific examples of duties and responsibilities include the following:

 

  • Build analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data in preparation of the budget and forecast – Support NA Business Area Controlling (BAC) in the same capacity.
  • Work with the master data lead to maintain and streamline profit center assignment and reporting hierarchies.     
  • Support quarterly close processes associated with operating expenses and revenue recognition, as well as recurring audit and SOX controls
  • Help identify trends and anticipate needs to support an evolving business environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required
  • Experience working in a virtual environment
  • Experience with business performance metrics a plus
  • Experience at a public company is a plus
  • Experience at a multi-national business a plus
  • Coursework/BS Degree in Finance/Accounting
