Anomalo is a SaaS solution that plugs directly into the modern data stack and automatically monitors tables for a wide range of data quality issues. Our software uses unsupervised learning to catch deep problems in the data, like sudden changes in the distribution, that aren’t covered by static rules or basic observability. With built-in root cause analysis, Anomalo shows not only whether data is anomalous but also why and what the impact is. This prevents data issues from reaching dashboards, reports, and products, while data teams spend less time debugging and more time building.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team at Anomalo, you will own a core functional component of the Anomalo product. The Data Platform team is responsible for providing a uniform, efficient, and seamless software layer that empowers our Machine Learning and Application teams to integrate with a wide variety of enterprise data warehouses. You will partner with engineers and business leaders, and ensure that Anomalo is at the cutting edge of data warehouse technologies.

What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team at Anomalo:

• Maintain, extend, and improve the core software components that Anomalo uses to integrate with customer data warehouses
• Leverage your expertise in specific data warehouse technologies to improve the efficiency, observability, and fault tolerance of our software
• Contribute to the Product roadmap for Anomalo as we broaden and deepen Anomalo’s capabilities
• Stay current on technology trends related to data warehouse providers, and how Anomalo can leverage new platform capabilities to solve customers’ observability problems more effectively, efficiently, and at larger scales
• Own the automated tests and testing infrastructure for ensuring the highest standard of quality in our data warehouse integrations

What you’ll bring to the team: 

• 10+ years of experience working in a Software Engineering role, with an emphasis on databases, data warehouse, or other data-intensive fields
• Deep expertise in one or more enterprise data warehouse technologies, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks
• A command of SQL
• Advanced knowledge of relational and analytics-oriented databases
• Expertise in Python, with experience developing integrations with data warehouses
• Foundational knowledge of distributed systems and how they break
• Strong preference for specific expertise working with Snowflake or Databricks

Salary range:

• The estimated annual salary range for this role is $200,000 - $260,000 plus meaningful equity

Travel:

• Planned travel once per quarter to spend time with the team is strongly encouraged
