As a Security Officer Flex Community Patrol Driver in Carson, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will complete routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to calls for assistance to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with residents and site contacts, and support a welcoming experience. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter fencing or gates to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and community entrances, verify authorization for entry as required, and assist with visitor and delivery guidance per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and resident concerns.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions such as damaged property, unsecured doors or gates, hazards, and maintenance issues, and notify the appropriate contacts per post orders.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation with accurate details and timely submission.
  • Communicate professionally with site management, residents, and local public services as needed, using phone, radio, and/or other approved methods.
  • Support property rules enforcement in a courteous manner, including parking compliance observations and amenity use guidelines, and escalate issues per site procedures.
  • Control keys, access devices, and other assigned equipment per site policy, and report lost, found, or malfunctioning items promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that support the location’s security-related program and customer service expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
