The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in El Segundo, CA.

As a Senior Industrial Security Specialist, you will work with both senior and junior staff members to administer and implement US Industrial Security Standards as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM), the DoD Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual, Special Access Program (SAP) Security rules and/or other authoritative sources of security regulations. As an individual contributor, you will ensure programmatic security posture is compliant with all applicable regulations by performing the Actions of Personnel Security, Physical Security and Program Supply Chain Acquisition Security.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action

  • Communicates results to security management and customers

  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Communicates results to security management and customers

  • Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities (including inventory, distribution and destruction), in compliance with government regulations/requirements

  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures

  • Develops, implements and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or complex programs

  • Leads and performs Personnel Security team and/or processes to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for complex customer requirements

  • Establishes and implements a security awareness training and education program to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information

  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements

  • Performs Sub-Contractor Management to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements

  • Communicates results to security management and customers. Participates, as requested, on the enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years

  • 5+ years of experience with Industrial Security

  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions

  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience with Industrial Security

  • Experience with NISP programs

  • Experience working in an SCI/SAP/Aerospace security/intelligence community environment

  • CDSE, NSTI/SASSI or other Professional Certification in SAP Security, SCI Administration, ICD-705, JSIG/RMF, COMSEC, or related security certifications
