Description
The NYU School of Professional Studies seeks a Clinical (Assistant/Associate/Full) Professor of Real Estate for the Schack Institute of Real Estate, effective Fall 2025. (The rank of the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.)
The Schack Institute of Real Estate is actively seeking distinguished academics and/or professionals with exemplary experience in commercial real estate who can teach courses in the following areas: finance and investment, capital markets, portfolio management, REITs, real estate data analytics, property technology, development process, asset management, law, affordable housing, sustainability, green building, city planning, property technology, and global real estate markets.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Schack Institute of Real Estate, the successful candidate will work closely with the Academic Director to implement the vision to expand Schack’s real estate programs and initiatives and increase its profile and visibility locally, nationally, and internationally.
Successful candidates will teach graduate and undergraduate courses (may also teach within corporate and executive education programs), develop courses, advise students, collaborate with other faculty and industry partners, and engage with the broader NYU SPS academic community, as appropriate. Additionally, ideal candidates will have experience working with a diverse base of professionals and/or teaching a diverse population of students. This full-time position begins with a two-year renewable faculty appointment.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $135,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will (i) hold an advanced degree (terminal in their field or discipline), preferably in real estate, finance, applied economics, urban economics, city planning, urban studies, hospitality, technology, law, or a related field; (ii) have a significant industry or academic track record; and (iii) have at least three years of acade
