This position is responsible for supporting and enhancing the business processes and information associated with operations systems used for Manufacturing and Plant Floor processes including Production Execution/Inventory Management, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI's), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Production Scheduling, package/case code date printing, data collection (Historian), data analytics, operational reporting/dashboards, and integrations with quality, asset maintenance, and other company systems.
This position requires an understanding of Operational Technology (OT), Manufacturing, and Plant Floor systems and will work to implement, support, and enhance systems and processes while working with other Operations Systems/Controls partners as well as Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Information Technology (IT), Supply Chain, Finance, Enterprise Quality, Planning, Distribution, Transportation, Customer Service, contractors and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and user needs that will increase safety, operational efficiency, control, and performance of production assets and partners.
The position architects and designs solutions, system modifications, and enhancements for productivity improvements consistent with company standards and industry best practices. The position also manages projects, leads cross-functional teams, and contributes to the company standards and improvements in the Operations Systems/Controls space with collaboration throughout the company.
Schreiber Foods has standardized to the Inductive Automation Ignition Perspective Platform for SCADA.
This role is expected to be onsite five days a week at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Candidates can receive a $10,000 relocation bonus in addition to a generous relocation package if relocating more than 50 miles for the position.

What you’ll do:
- Architect, design, and implement solutions to improve safety, efficiency, control, and performance of company assets and partners by working collaboratively with stakeholders and fellow Operations Systems/Controls partners and cross-functional teams to understand opportunities, issues, and potential solutions for the operations systems used for Production Execution, Manufacturing and Plant Floor processes.
- Identify opportunities to better utilize system capabilities, improve processes, and provide more meaningful information for decision making. Propose projects, initiate change, and influence leaders and stakeholders to align on improvements and new processes.
- Manage projects and plan system implementations by considering impacts and risks to production processes and end users. Manage project tasks and communicate plans effectively. Build cross-functional teams and lead initiatives.
- Provide issue support, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance of operations systems, which requires 24/7 call availability, and engage appropriate IT, Maintenance, or other support teams for cross-functional support as necessary.
- Research best practices and understand industry trends to influence and develop documented best practices and standards for system designs, architectures, and implementations. Influence and educate fellow Operations Systems/Controls partners on these best practices and standards.
- Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
