Social Worker I - Pediatric Clinic - Full time

Job Summary:

functions as a Social Worker for pediatric populations. Is responsible for psychosocial assessments of patients and families; development of a patient plans of care for social work services; referrals to outside agencies; assistance with obtaining information to help support OB and pediatric patients and families, chronically ill or special needs children. Provides support for patients, parents and families as needed. Serves as an advocate for patients and families by actively seeking benefits and services for families and children.

 

Education, Experience and Training:

Bachelors degree in Social Work.

One (1) year experience in the field of social work is required. 

B.A. in associated field and three years experience in a social work role may substitute for the BSW.

Experience in healthcare social work or working with families with children is preferred.
