Description of Work
This Rehabilitation Services Manager I (Unit Manager) position is a new position to WorkSource West and will supervise the Morganton VR Counseling Unit and is located in Burke County. The Rehabilitation Services Manager I position requires an understanding of the field of rehabilitation counseling, thorough knowledge of agency policies and procedures pertaining to casework, demonstrated effective skills in oral and written communications, and the ability to inspire others to work together towards shared goals.Job Responsibilities Include the Following:
• Providing professional supervisory and managerial work in organizing and directing delivery of EIPD services to individuals with disabilities.
• Directing the daily activities of the EIPD staff to ensure the most effective and efficient service delivery
• Serving as area manager of the Division’s service delivery program serving Burke and the 16 surrounding counties
• Providing leadership to meet agency mission and goals within the context of its' stated values
• Providing administrative, clinical and case management supervision including training and technical assistance, personnel administration, evaluation and planning
• Designing and implementing action plans to develop personnel and programs
• Working cooperatively with third-party school programs, multiple community rehabilitation
programs, community partners, agencies, and businesses
• Ensuring that all aspects of the WSW's work complies with federal regulations, state laws, and DHHS and EIPD policies.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $60,881-$106,544
Recruitment Range: $60,881- $83,712

The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred.
Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations pertaining to vocational rehabilitation programs and services.
Considerable knowledge of administrative management principles, methods of program evaluation and principles of planning and budgeting.
Ability to lead by example, including comprehensive understanding of the field of rehabilitation counseling and demonstrated excellence in service delivery through knowledge of casework policy and procedures.
Ability to administer and coordinate multiple rehabilitation service programs representing a variety of caseload types.
Knowledge of effective methods to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with agency staff, clients, and peer professionals in public and private settings.
