TSC’s Product Solutions (PS) Division is currently seeking a Director of Products with a preferred location based out of Huntsville, AL. The role is pursuing an individual with an educational and/or industry focus in the processes and procedures to manage RF-based products through the entire product lifecycle in the precision weapons domain of DoD/DoW-related programs. Should the employee not be based in Huntsville, AL, travel may be required up to 40% of the year.
TSC’s PS Division provides products and services in the areas of radar, communication systems, sensors, antennas and other electronics systems to the rocket/missile, radar/sensor system, communications, control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing markets. TSC has developed products ranging from board-level, application-specific-designs, to complete, turnkey radar and communication systems. TSC has established a state-of-the-art hardware capability that is well respected by customers in Government and industry.

Responsibilities:
This position requires the individual to lead and develop our Product Management team, drive product strategy, and oversee the full lifecycle of RF-based products in the precision weapons domain for DoD/DoW-related programs. The Product Director will be responsible for establishing and optimizing product management processes, tools, and methodologies, while also managing one or more product lines directly.
- Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers overseeing RF-based technologies such as proximity, HOB, unmanned RF payloads, and seeker sensors for missile, rocket, EW, and/or gun-launched munition platforms
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve product management processes, tools, and methodologies across the Product Solutions Division
- Directly manage one or more product lines, overseeing all phases from concept development through sustained production
- Collaborate with customers, business development, engineering, finance, and production teams to conceive, develop, test, produce, and sustain products across multiple product lines
- Develop and maintain product business cases, sales forecasts, and yearly product line budgets in support of product line improvements
- Oversee and ensure compliance with product pricing, supporting documentation, and DCAA/FAR requirements
- Develop and maintain commercial strategy and demand alignment, working closely with business development and sales
- Provide guidance and oversight for ROMs and Quotes to customers
- Define and maintain product roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders
- Track product issues and execute ECOs within roadmap and budgetary constraints
- Oversee product line inventory management to minimize customer lead time within business limits
- Support and influence design decisions to meet product roadmap objectives
- Ensure the Product Management team operates within AS9100 or ISO9001 process structures
- Lead by example in creating and executing product management processes and methodologies
- Serve as primary point of contact for executive leadership regarding product strategy, performance, and risk
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience in DoD/DoW or technology industry, with at least 5 years in a product leadership role
- Experience developing and improving product management processes and tools
- Experience managing direct reports – including hiring, mentoring, and performance management
- Demonstrated technical and/or business leadership in a technical field
- Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
- Possess excellent organizational and communications skills
- Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with proximity/HOB or seeker fuze technologies in a product development or production environment
- Experience working with or as an end user of missile, rocket, or gun-launched munitions utilizing fuze technologies such as proximity and seeker technologies.
- Experience supporting production numbers >100 units per year
- Experience with the following areas is required:
- Financial management of product line(s) for at least 5 years
- DCAA audit of FAR-compliant product pricing
- Product deliveries and support to USG and FVEY partners
