Turner Industries Group is looking for a Capital Projects Superintendent for a project in the Salt Lake City, UT area. This role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the activities of crews and providing overall on-site administrative and technical management on the jobsite. The ideal candidate will live in the local area, have industrial experience and a number of the essential qualifications.
Essential Qualifications:
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of related experience including thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience
- Basic knowledge of all crafts
- Advanced knowledge of key crafts onsite (mechanical skills, soft skills, planning and safety)
- Highly developed leadership and mentor skills
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place
Functional Requirements:
Supervises total construction effort to ensure project is constructed and/or maintained in accordance with design, budget and schedule-includes interfacing with client representatives; plans, coordinates and supervises on-site functions including scheduling, engineering, material control, etc.; provides technical assistance, such as interpretation of drawings, as required; assists project management in developing and implementing project procedures, standards, etc.; ensures all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, company standards, etc. Documents all violations, notifies project management and recommends/implements corrective actions as required; assumes responsibility for productivity of employees, efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the job; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; analyzes and resolves work related problems; performs additional duties as required; establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel; performs additional assignments as required.
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifcations and experience.
