Summary
 

Responsible for the successful marketing and sales of group and individual product lines as defined by production quotas within assigned territory. Customarily and regularly engaged in business development and relationship management.

Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid)

What You'll Do:

• Develops and maintains professional relationships with agents and brokers within assigned territory. Actively promotes brand values and helps grow and maintain accounts.

• Develops and executes marketing plans.

• Conducts ongoing market research, product and industry knowledge.  Provides key information that may lead to sales. Maintains and develops product/industry knowledge and marketing skills.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Work Experience:

• 3 years sales and marketing. External B2B sales experience required.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to develop/maintain effective relationships with groups, agents and brokers. Knowledge of marketing principles, techniques, and the marketplace. Effective presentation and customer service skills. Analytical or critical thinking skills. Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Must be a quick learner, flexible and a multitasker.

Required Software and Other Tools:

• Microsoft Office.

Required Licenses and Certificates:

• Department of Insurance Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed.
