Billing Specialist

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a good understanding of billing processes, and the ability to maintain accuracy in invoicing and payments. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and accurate billing of clients and customers.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Creation: Generate and send invoices to clients and customers based on services provided or goods delivered.
• Billing Records: Maintain accurate billing records, ensuring all payments and transactions are tracked and documented.
• Payment Processing: Monitor incoming payments and ensure they are processed promptly. Address any discrepancies.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts to ensure that all billing information is correct.
• Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account issues. Resolve any discrepancies or billing disputes.
• Report Preparation: Prepare regular reports on outstanding payments, aging accounts, and billing status.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and company policies in the billing process.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in billing, accounting, or finance is required.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) is a plus.
