Job Description

• Leading the evaluation, design, documentation, installation, implementation, testing, and performance of Brightspeed’s IT Field Operations Systems for mobile and desktop platforms.
• Ensuring IT dispatch system solutions integrate strategically into upstream and downstream workflows for Dispatch, Billing, and SAP (Enterprise Resource Planning platform) systems.
• Defining functional and technical architecture for field operations systems used by Brightspeed’s technicians and supervisors.
• Participating in business and system requirements sessions to engage with business stakeholders to understand complex business and compliance requirements as applicable.
• Working with business partners with solutions for Dispatch Assignments Optimization, Appointment Scheduling, Technician Scheduling, and Forecasting.
• Identifying and driving implementation of automation to optimize field and dispatch center operations.
• Creating interfaces/APIs for appointment scheduling for upstream Ordering and Service Assurance systems to consume and therefore increase efficiencies in technician job completions and supervisor workforce management.
• Creating interfaces with technician tools to consume for Field Operations Innovative solutions to reduce field dispatches and/or optimize them.
• Building and supporting Cloud Platform instances needed for dispatch systems.
• Driving software development and architecting IT solutions.
• Creating documents related to system architecture, design steps, integration processes, and testing procedures.
• Building a new team of software developers, testers, and support personnel to enhance, support, and maintain the dispatch systems.
• Driving the addition of features to dispatch systems to enable new capabilities to the tool.
• Planning and executing the migration of legacy dispatch systems to new systems architecture.
• Working closely with vendors and third-party partners to manage progress on solutions development to drive rapid progress.
• Position will be headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and allows for telecommuting from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus five (5) years post-baccalaureate experience as a Technical Manager, Project Manager, or related role. Experience must include designing Web Services; developing solutions using AWS, Java/J2EE, JavaScript, NodeJs, ReactJs, Micro Services, Restful APIs, and Oracle Database; leveraging CI/CD principles for automated testing and deployment; leading projects leveraging Agile and Waterfall project develop methodologies; Position will be headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and allows for telecommuting from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
