What you will accomplish together with us:
Verify instrumentation prototypes are suitable for assay development use.
Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize bioassays to validate instrumentation concepts.
Design and execute experiments to identify and mitigate assay failure modes, applying engineering insights for optimization.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance research objectives and engineering solutions.
Document experimental procedures and results with scientific rigor, potentially contributing to publications or presentations.
What will convince us:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related program (undergraduate or graduate level).
Hands-on laboratory experience with wet lab techniques and assay development.
Deep understanding and hands-on experience with multiple ELISA assay formats are key, as is experience optimizing assay parameters.
Success using DOE methodologies driven by knowledge of the measurement system capabilities is a plus.
Solid understanding of measurement principles, including fluorescence and absorbance, and the operational capabilities and limitations of laboratory instruments.
Experience with laboratory instrumentation and analytical methods, such as spectrophotometry, ELISA, fluorescence microscopy, chromatography, and fluidics.
Ability to apply engineering and biochemistry knowledge to guide the design of experiments (DOE) for assay optimization.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation for this position will be a base salary of 28.00/hour.
