Job Summary:

The Director of Accounting Operations will lead and manage key accounting projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed successfully and on time. This role will involve close collaboration with the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) and Global Controller, as well as other senior leaders within the organization. The Director will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, improving processes, and ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple accounting projects from inception to completion.
• Drive strategic initiatives to improve accounting processes and systems.
• Ensure all projects are aligned with the company’s financial objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the CAO, Global Controller, and others to identify and prioritize projects.
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Prepare and present project updates and reports to the Global Controller and CAO.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with accounting processes, policies, and projects.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and accounting standards to ensure the company stays compliant and competitive.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the accounting organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Public company experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex accounting projects.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in accounting software and project management tools.
