Lead Cloud Solution Architect- Public Sector

Qualifications: 

• A minimum of 7 years progressive experience in a related field required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience designing, deploying, and implementing Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud technologies in accordance with industry best practices
• Minimum of 5 years of consultative experience supporting Public Sector customers (Federal or SLED), with a strong understanding of mission priorities, procurement cycles, and stakeholder engagement.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering)
• Willing to travel 30-40% 
• Understanding of Public, Private, & Hybrid Cloud Strategies
• Deep understanding of Cloud ecosystem products and solutions
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail 
• Independent and self-motivated and thorough
• Troubleshooting skills (patience and determination to find and solve problems) 
• Ability to understand technology interdependencies and how various components integrate with one another 

Strongly Desired Skills:  

• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end consulting solution pipelines, including forecasting profitability, optimizing deal quality, and driving timely close rates across public sector engagements.
• Deep familiarity with SLED and Federal procurement processes, including hands-on experience crafting responses to RFPs/RFIs and navigating compliance, contracting vehicles, and proposal development workflows.Specialized expertise in one or more of the following:
  • Cloud strategy and adoption patterns
  • Cloud modernization and migration
  • Cloud container management and Kubernetes platforms (i.e. AKS, EKS, GKE)
  • Cloud AI and data platform technologies (i.e. OpenAI, Azure Fabric, AWS RedShift)
  • Application architecture and development in the cloud
  • Core Cloud infrastructure – Networking, Security, Compute, and Storage
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development for automated cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (i.e. ARM/Bicep, Terraform, Ansible), application code deployments (i.e. GitOps) and associated agile tools (i.e. Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.)
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, etc.
• Fluent understanding of Agile and/or ITIL
• Understanding of the Cloud Cost models and Optimization strategies
• Experience working with and integrating other vendors such as VMware, PaloAlto, NetApp, Red Hat and other cloud technologies and ISVs
• Experience and working knowledge of infrastructure concepts and technologies such as Networking, Data Center, and Security

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $160,000 to $175,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.
