Role Overview:

The O&G Design Engineering Manager oversees the development and execution of projects, manages budgets, and supervises the O&G Design Engineering team. Collaborates with other management personnel, provides instructions to engineering teams, and ensures the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. Responsible of the research and development for new designs, products, and processes, while maintaining technical accuracy and coordinating work with other managers and team members

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time.
  • Proposing and managing budgets for projects.
  • Supervising the work of the Oil & Gas Design Engineering team.
  • Ensure technical accuracy, quality, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Partner and collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external customers for a clean order handoff and efficient product delivery.

  • Support the compliance and ethics program, reinforcing the IMI Way - code of responsible business; support the shaping and execution of the program through training, employee communication, and behavioral change.

  • Effective in creating an environment of continuous improvement through identifying and sharing best practices to optimize delivery performance and quality.
  • Organizational Development: Responsible for recruitment and talent development and strategy for members of the team.
  • Proven ability to coach and motivate team members.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge of Oil & Gas designs and applications.
  • Proficient in manufacturing and shop operations as it pertains to the dispositioning of discrepant parts, providing rework support and general technical guidance for shop floor team members.

  • Strong Knowledge of CAD software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with using an ERP
  • Practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  
  • Master's degree (M. A.) in Engineering or equivalent preferred but not required; or four+ years related experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within the valves industry. 

Pay range: $115,000– $130,000
