Job Description:
AMA is seeking a Project Support Specialist, Staff to support a NASA Langley Research Center contract in Hampton, VA. This position will support NASA Langley’s Project Support Office as it develops products and supports review of processes to assist in improved flight project execution. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter and dynamic individual.
This is a 32 hour full-time position on-site at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA.
Responsibilities:
· Review and analysis of project lessons learned captured in various sources for common risks/causes, and candidate process improvements and Center standards/Best Practices.
· Data retrieval from programs/projects located at multiple locations such as other NASA Centers and contractor worksites.
· Support in house database by identifying improvements, creating documentation, building training materials, and facilitating training.
· Assisting in the development of a project framework and development programs.
• Collateral material development.
• Documentation of the program, milestones, accomplishments, and people involved.
• Coordination and support of onsite events in support of these efforts.
Requirements:
· Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and respond/produce quality work efficiently with short deadline actions in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong working knowledge of Office365, including SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Must be able to work with diverse project teams including project management, technical leads, and researchers.
· Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
· Must have outstanding proactive customer service with strong problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications:
· Degree in Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
· 5+ years of experience preferred.
U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required due to facility requirements.
