Your key responsibilities
Associates participate as valued members of case teams helping clients address their most pressing strategic challenges. Associates identify information sources, assemble data, perform analyses, structure arguments and develop presentations. Training is given in key business concepts and analytical methods immediately upon joining the firm and throughout their EY-Parthenon career. Associates are able to gain responsibility quickly, often serving as primary contacts for clients and managing junior case team members.
Our teams work on a variety of client issues. The range of assignments includes developing long-term strategies for organizations, evaluating the potential acquisition of businesses, improving educational achievement outcomes, developing new marketing channel strategies, reducing operating costs, and evaluating new business ventures.
Our clients typically belong to one of the following industries:
Exploration & Production, Oilfield Services & Equipment (“OFSE”), Pipeline & Transportation, Refining & Marketing, Chemicals, Industrial Services, Private Equity
Skills and attributes for success
- Perform secondary research using a variety of sources (e.g., analyst reports, market research reports, news articles).
- Executing various analyses (e.g., customer segmentation, market sizing, competitor analysis, macroeconomic forecasting) to support the strategic recommendations.
- Designing and executing in-depth interview guides with key organizational stakeholders, industry experts and customers.
- Analyzing business plans and pro-forma financial models to help identify key assumptions and drivers.
- Maintaining relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels and other internal teams on the engagement.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Outstanding academic performance, with a bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related work experience; or a graduate degree and some relevant work experience.
- Experience in strategy consulting, private equity, investment banking, market research, or similar role performing quantitative research.
- Demonstrated interest in related fields through internships, coursework or extracurricular activities.
- A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
- Proficient in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment.
- Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
Ideally, you will have
- Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
