The Supervisor supports Care Managers(CM) to ensure high-quality, person-centered service delivery. This role oversees CM practices to ensure that all client needs are addressed according to program protocols, documentation standards, quality-assurance expectations, and billing compliance. The SCM provides staff coaching, onboarding, performance feedback, and ongoing development, while also supporting program hiring, retention, and quality-improvement activities. The Supervisor may carry a small caseload when necessary to support program operations.

 

Responsibilities

The Supervisor supports Care Managers(CM) to ensure high-quality, person-centered service delivery. This role oversees CM practices to ensure that all client needs are addressed according to program protocols, documentation standards, quality-assurance expectations, and billing compliance. The SCM provides staff coaching, onboarding, performance feedback, and ongoing development, while also supporting program hiring, retention, and quality-improvement activities. The Supervisor may carry a small caseload when necessary to support program operations.

 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Provide regular (bi-weekly/monthly) supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure staff meet program expectations and maintain ≥90% compliance with required service and documentation metrics.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes, and help maintain staff vacancy rates below program targets through engagement and retention strategies.
  • Deliver structured onboarding, provide weekly check-ins during the first 90 days, and ensure new hires demonstrate core competency within 60–90 days
  • Support staff in case strategy, service planning, and documentation; maintain staff documentation timeliness at or above 95% and address issues within 5 business days.
  • Review records for billing and compliance accuracy, maintaining ≥95% error-free billing, and collaborate on at least two QA/QI initiatives annually with the Director
  • Review staff notes and forms regularly, provide corrective feedback, track improvement trends, and ensure staff meet all program deadlines and standards.
  • Manage a reduced caseload during staffing shortages or peak demand, meeting all program requirements for documentation, engagement, and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Mental Health Counseling.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of health, education, and community systems and resources in NYC relevant to pediatric care coordination
  • 2+ years Experience with children with chronic medical and/or mental health conditions
  • 2+ years Supervisory experience
  • 2+ years Experience with field work and home visits
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Care coordination experience

Education Required

Masters’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution

Salary Range:

$68,525.39 (plus language additive $3,500)
