Label Room Inventory Control, Full-Time

 

Position Summary

 

As a Label Room Inventory Control, you will work closely with the Planning, Procurement, Quality and Warehouse teams within the factory to support the smooth receipt and processing of the labels. Your work directly impacts operations planning, costing and production efficiency. You understand the manufacturing environment and collaborate effectively with the production and materials movements.  

  • Record and track all production activities within the manufacturing systems
  • Perform master data maintenance including entry and validation of materials requirements and production planning metrics
  • Reconcile materials usage transactions and resolve variances
  • Perform inventory management functions such as cycle counts, variance analysis and balance reconciliation
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams such as production, operations, quality and accounting
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Key Outputs / Deliverables  

  • Efficiently resolve discrepancies in order receipts and provide support for order processing in case of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) failures, ensuring smooth operations which includes managing communications between the internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Take charge of coordinating the month-end close process, ensuring all customer shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This includes handling various transactions such as O/S/D (Over, Short, and Damaged), returns, hung orders, transfer orders, EDI exceptions, open orders, and pallet/CHEP loads.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure timely and accurate receipt of customer and Internal Transfer orders into the Warehouse Management System.
  • Coordinate and conduct physical inventory in the Label Room, ensuring accurate reconciliation of inventory. Report the results, create action plans for improvement, and maintain lot-level integrity.
  • Champion the development and updating of files and reports, such as the Sync Report, to resolve issues related to batch/lot/pallet/quantity/holds differences or mismatches related to labels.
  • Proactively engage in problem-solving by consistently tracking, trending, and analyzing relevant data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior inventory experience within a manufacturing or warehousing environment required.

Skills:

  • Regularly lifting up to 40lbs and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 70lbs with assistance
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently in order to warrant consideration for this position.
  • Ability to utilize computer.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft excel and word
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

The approximate pay range for this position is $60,000- $70,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
