Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to support all passenger, freighter, and military derivative airplane programs located in Portland, Oregon including 737, 767, 777, 787, KC-46, and P-8. We are hiring Associate, Mid-Level, and Senior engineers to support our Fabrication production lines. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and a steadfast desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out in the factory, interacting with mechanics and electricians, and directly supporting the production system. They will also be expected to collaborate with teams located at our Global partner sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
• Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.
• Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
• Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.
• Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
• Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
• Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Portland, OR.

Work Authorization:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering course of study.
• Experience working in an engineering discipline.
• 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

• Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+2 years' related work experience).
• Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
