Purpose of Role
Develop and manage all technical design responsibilities related to the development of one or more product categories from design concept to production.
Your Impact
⦁ Build and review technical packages for one or more categories
⦁ Contribute ideas for construction, materials and components to enhance functionality, aesthetic, fit and margin targets
⦁ Support maintenance of sketch libraries
⦁ Conduct fit sessions on live models, including size sets
⦁ Able to identify fit issues, perform fit adjustments and communicate changes to improve fit and function
⦁ Analyze samples to identify discrepancies prior to fitting. Ensure samples reflect established category standards for fit, construction and quality
⦁ Analyzes artwork to identify risk, assist with establishing standards, identify quality issues and approve strike offs
⦁ Owns cross functional meeting communication for the development team. Must be able to effectively problem solve design, costing, quality and delivery issues
⦁ Independently communicates with vendors to problem solve all issues related to garment engineering
⦁ Review daily and seasonal tracking of prototype samples. Provides cross functional teams with accurate tracking data. Problem-solve complex issues as necessary and makes recommendations to manager
⦁ Weekly calls with factory development teams as needed
⦁ Domestic and overseas travel as necessary. Factory experience preferred.

Qualifications
⦁ Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year Fashion Design program
⦁ {Minimum of 4 years} of technical design or product development experience
⦁ Experience fitting on live models and virtual models, including size sets
⦁ Expertise building Development Tech Packs
⦁ Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, a PLM system and Excel
⦁ 2D + 3D is a plus (Gerber, Optitex, Clo, or Browzwear PDS)
⦁ Must have superior written and verbal communication skills
⦁ Must be able to lead product presentations regarding fit and construction in a clear, concise and engaging manner
⦁ Must have experience leading a product category
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
- Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Base Compensation
$70,888.00 - $97,471.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
