Tufting Burn-in Operator 3rd ShiftPosition Overview
Position Overview:
Responsible for burning-in yarn during a beam change as well as creeling yarn in order to keep machines in operation.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for burning in beams or splicing beams during a beam change as well as creeling yarn in order to keep machines in operation
Cut the yarn with tape & paper off and place the contaminated yarn in trash & the yarn without tape or paper in the recycle collection centers placed through out the department.
Pull yarn off of beams and remove beam weights at end of each set
Creel yarn for all creel machines
Assist Tufting Operators with threading tufting machines, ensuring no crossed ends
Clean machines, sweep, and perform ATD as needed
Doff rolls as needed
Assist Tufting Operator with mending and inspection of carpet
Report to management any quality and safety problems, and potential problems that are encountered while performing the job
Position Requirements:
Ability to carry out written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Work Shift
