In 2021, Samsung announced a new facility in Taylor, Texas, where it plans to invest a minimum $17 billion in the build-out. The site spans 1,200+ acres and the first phase of development will have 4.7 million square feet of floor space consisting of a cluster of semiconductor manufacturing buildings such as a fab, office, parking garage, central utility building, and special utility supply facilities. The Taylor facility will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

We are currently looking for a procurement buyer/manager who will help our Supply Chain operate even more efficiently, by completing a wide range of administrative and commodity management tasks. You will work closely with Engineering, Logistics, as well as Suppliers

Specific Job Duties:

Creating and managing Purchase Orders for spare parts and ensuring timely delivery.
Attending global SCM meetings with suppliers and engineers to discuss procurement strategies.
Contributing to achieving company objectives and KPIs by monitoring procurement-related metrics.
Resolving discrepancies in stock deliveries and updating business practices as needed.
Interfacing with Engineering and end-users to ensure smooth parts orders.
Preparing reports, presentations, and analyses to support decision-making.
Understanding global supply chain concepts and driving project progress.
Negotiating procurement annual part pricing agreements to secure cost savings.
Leading procurement projects, timelines, and cost savings implementation.
Analyzing project requirements and customer needs to ensure effective procurement processes.
Ability to create high-level reports for executives

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience including 1+ years in procurement or supply chain related field
Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management skills
Semiconductor industry experience a plus
CPM, CPSM, or CPIM certification a plus
