Sr Software Developer

The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to provide specialized expertise in support of the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) Office of Performance Analysis, Data Integration and Modeling Group. You will use your expertise in SQL to review and develop software applications related to the operation and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS).  This support will also include innovative methodologies, processes, architectures, and technologies that support the transformation of FAA raw data into meaningful, useful, and actionable information to support business decisions.

Primary Responsibilities

You will assist AJR-G in developing software applications and the development of cloud solutions for existing databases. You will also support the development of a shared platform by which a program/system can be modularly integrated.  Provide technical and subject matter expertise, and program management support for completion of lifecycle system design and analysis.  Other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree and 8 to 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 to 10 years of prior relevant experience or if no degree, additional related work experience can be substituted.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasking and deadlines.
• Solid experience with SQL and/or Nifi development tools.
• Git/bitbucket for software configuration management.
• Familiarity Jira for software workflow management.
• Knowledge of the FAA’s Knowledge Services Network (KSN) (SharePoint).
• Knowledge of the FAA SWIM data sources.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including MS Teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing systems that run 24/7.
• Experience with AWS cloud.
• Knowledge of containerization of components for software development.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
