Department Overview

Motorola Solutions Command center software products deliver stable, secure and innovative safety solutions. Command Center Software portfolio thrives within the overall Motorola Solutions product ecosystem. The Alliances and Ecosystem team is responsible for Integrating Non-MSI vendors and partners with MSI using cutting-edge technology to make Integration and data flow seamless.

Job Description

This Software Engineering Intern position will be a member of the team that develops interfaces between Motorola's products and third party products. Build and maintain interfaces between Motorola products and third party applications. Develop and test software interfaces between MSI products (CAD, RMS, Real Time Command & Control, and Analytics) and a variety of 3rd party systems as required to meet customer requirements defined by solution architects. Interfaces are developed using an Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) architecture with adapters to 3rd party and MSI systems and a transformation layer that includes field mapping, filtering, triggering, and business logic. Interfaces are implemented using a variety of technologies, including Java, Javascript, NodeJS, C#, and SQL.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Salary range - $22 - $35/hr

Basic Requirements

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/IT or related technical field with a graduation date on or after December 2024
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
