We are seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to work onsite at Cedar Rapids, IA.
What You Will Do
Support Operations in equipment software/hardware interface development and troubleshoot
Participate in system integration and project milestone completion
Create custom automated equipment to improve operator safety and product quality
Integrate operations equipment into an Industry 4.0 environment. This will include determining critical equipment information then specifying strategy to collect and analyze the data
Keep abreast of advancements in microelectronics manufacturing processes to drive continuous innovation
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Experience performing system engineering for large complex systems to include requirements analysis and decomposition, Interface definition, root cause analysis, application design, integration, and test
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, identifying, and diagnosing systems administration, infrastructure and architecture
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience developing prototypes and performing experiments
Experience troubleshooting software problems on manufacturing equipment
PLC programming experience
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, or Ethernet/IP)
Programming skills in languages such as Python, C#, or Java for developing and integrating software solutions
Strong System Engineering and proven leadership experience
Experience working proposals, developing and maintaining metrics, facilitating and providing training, and shaping a culture
