Research Assistant

We are seeking a Research Assistant to join a team of researchers doing mathematical, computational and field research in the field of infectious disease dynamics at the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with coordinating activities of domestic and international projects related to cholera and other infectious diseases. It is an exciting opportunity for applicants looking for an introduction to the field of infectious disease dynamics and global health, as the candidate will gain familiarity with substantive aspects of the PI’s research projects related to infectious disease response, cholera epidemiology and control policy. Further, there will be opportunities for involvement in work on other diseases of interest ranging from hepatitis E to mpox. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks and manage their time with minimal oversight.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with grants applications, renewals, IRB applications and manuscripts.
• Assist with oversight of research budgets and interact with financial analysts.
• Manage project / group websites.
• Coordinate study meetings and communication with domestic and international partners.
• Assist with conducting literature reviews and maintenance of reference libraries.
• Assist with preparation of graphs and tables for oral and written presentations.
• Assist with development of study protocols and survey instruments.
• Assist with preparation of materials for meetings.
• Manage data acquisition and assist in research activities and coordination IDD projects.

• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
