Account Receivable - (Billing Specialist)

About the role

As a Billing Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing and executing the company’s financial transactions with a focus on technology and customer support. This role involves handling daily financial duties including preparing bank deposits, managing accounts receivable, and maintaining accurate billing records.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares daily bank deposits, reviews for accuracy.
  • Applies payments to outstanding invoices in a timely manner.
  • Monitors and maintains accounts receivable aging.
  • Assists with accounts receivable process through correspondence and collection calls as directed.
  • Prepares customer invoices; reconciles customer accounts.
  • Retrieves credit reports and assists with review of customer credit issues.
  • Maintains accounts receivable files.
  • Supports Account Management by supplying detailed invoicing and payment information, as well as assisting in preparing customer forecasts.
  • Assists with related special projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Programs
    • NetSuite (Not required but nice to have)
    • Bank Programs or similar (SunTrust/Truist)
    • Excel
    • Outlook
  • Able to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Deal with Purchase Orders and keeping track of amounts.
  • Work with Sales Tax.
  • Prepare forecast/accruals for clients.
  • Deal with multiple departments.
  • Work with contracts that can have many different levels of billing.
    • Attention to detail.
