Lead Warehouse Associate

What You Will Do: 

  • Accountable for ensuring proper labor balancing between core areas of warehouse, including receiving, picking, outbound parcels, project warehouse, cycle counting, wire cutting, and pipe yard. 

  • Responsible for keeping the Warehouse in Process/Status queues clear and compliant with End of Month guidelines. 

  • Key transfer truck facilitator, responsible for ensuring all orders released before cutoff times are picked, staged, manifested, and loaded onto the transfer truck each day. 

  • Primary responder and problem solver for warehouse lead emails, with a response time of 1 hour. 

  • Complete weekly performance reviews of Associates using data driven metrics. 

  • Actively engaged within warehouse, providing on call mentorship and problem solving for Associates. 

  • Lead by example an effective and efficient team, with an emphasis on positively motivating, training, and uplifting of Associates. 

  • Maintain and cultivate a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety policies and guidelines. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Clear and concise communication skills. 

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

  • Fluent in North Coast warehouse and system processes . 

  • Self-starter, team player with the ability to lead others with a quality focus. 

  • Previous warehouse experience. 

  • Committed to 100% accuracy and doing tasks right the first time (DIRTFT). 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

  • Willingness and desire to improve knowledge and skill level of self and others. 

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: 

  • Repetitive lifting and pulling of heavy objects (50+ lbs.) 

  • Forklift and stock picker use.  

  • Warehouse environment. 

  • Frequent use of computer terminal and RF scanner. 

  • Usual 40-hour work-week Monday through Friday however based on business needs evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required 

  • Requires regular and reliable on-site attendance
