This position offers a flexible work arrangements, with the option to work remotely or from one of our offices across the Northeast region. Tasks may include research, design, concept development, planning, client interactions, business and proposal development, construction support, and staff mentorship. Supports project development through disciplined engineering practices, coordination across multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to established quality and safety standards. Ensures responsibilities are executed with a level of technical excellence, clarity, and functional performance that meets or exceeds industry expectations.</span><br/><span> </span></p><p><span><strong>Your Impact </strong></span><br/><span>The successful candidate will be able to lead, support, and coordinate the following:</span></p><p><span>Project Engineering Leadership</span></p><ul><li><span>Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.</span></li><li><span>Lead and/or support the initial project execution layout to ensure an efficient and effective project plan has been established.</span></li><li><span>Responsible for creating and maintaining a project schedule.</span></li><li><span>Conduct weekly or bi-weekly project meetings to outline upcoming deliverables and tasks with the responsible personnel identified clearly.</span></li><li><span>Coordinate with clients on project status and support project meetings as necessary.</span></li><li><span>Maintain project workflow and thorough communication across multi-disciplinary projects, both internal and external to WSP.</span></li><li><span>Forecast upcoming project requirements to assist in resource planning.</span></li><li><span>Facilitate and adhere to WSP’s QA/QC procedures.</span></li><li><span>Participate in industry conferences, both internal and external, to improve professional growth while fostering knowledge transfer to colleagues.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrate transmission line design expertise pertaining to PLS-CADD, structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, structure loading, material procurement, construction specifications, construction methods, construction estimates, and construction support.</span></li><li><span>Lead project teams of varying sizes.</span></li><li><span>Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities, as needed.</span></li></ul><p><span> </span><span>Project Manager (PM) Support</span></p><ul><li><span>Support the Project Manager with project status reports.</span></li><li><span>Work with PMs to develop scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.</span></li><li><span>Work with PMs to identify out-of-scope items and support work scope variances.</span></li><li><span>Provide weekly or bi-weekly project updates and project forecasting.</span></li><li><span>Lead and/or support the PM with meetings with clients, both in person and remotely.</span></li><li><span>Develop client relationships, allowing WSP the opportunity to position ourselves to win future work.</span></li></ul><p><span>Department Support</span></p><ul><li><span>Support resource forecasting.</span></li><li><span>Support recruitment efforts.</span></li><li><span>Provide business improvement methodologies and procedures.</span></li><li><span>Support staff performance and technical development with department leadership.</span></li><li><span>Contribute to the business planning efforts.</span></li><li><span>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. </span></li><li><span>Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. </span></li></ul><p><span> <strong>Who You Are</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering </span></li><li><span>7-10 years’ experience in the transmission field of designing/managing projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams</span></li><li><span>Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.</span></li><li><span>Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation</span></li><li><span>The candidate must have a
