Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Instructor, Technology for the John Deere Training Center located in Davenport, IA you will deliver training to channel partners, company employees, and customers. In addition, you will:
- Take the lead role in the development and delivery of technology training, lead trainings, and mentor less-experienced instructors.
- Research training topics to increase subject matter expertise specific to product, machine systems, professional skills, and product applications.
- Distribute/share training information with appropriate channel partners, Company personnel, and customers.

What Skills You Need
- Understanding and ability to operate precision measurement systems such as GPS, 3D modeling of topographical mapping / survey systems, grade control systems and the ability to set up base stations and rovers.
- Ability to explain how to install, inspect, maintain, diagnose, grade control and machine technology systems.
- Understanding of customer applications that involve grade control technology.
- Strong verbal presentation and written skills.
- Candidate must be a strong self-starter who can work independently.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally
What Makes You Stand Out
- Knowledge of products, customers, markets and competitors
- Knowledge of surveying, 3D modeling and/or construction project management techniques
- Knowledge of grade management/grade control processes, technology and techniques (Topcon, Trimble, Leica)
- Knowledge of Precision Construction suite of tools including JDLink telematics and SmartGrade integrated grade control technology and Payload weighing
- Familiarity of John Deere Channel
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business/Management, or Engineering/Technology
