<h2><b>Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader</b></h2> <p>We pioneer technology for mobility experience that matter to people.</p><h2><b>Your mission, roles and responsibilities</b></h2> <p><span><span><strong>Overall responsibilities and duties:</strong></span></span></p> <ul type="circle"> <li>Manages Innovation projects and/or Technical Innovation projects and is responsible for all "deliverables" (Quality, Cost, Timeline)</li> <li>Ensures the technical implementation of innovation projects, research topics and advanced "sustainability" studies within the Innovation / R&amp;D Chemistry departments</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>The main missions of the role are:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Propose and validate the main objectives of the project in accordance with the company's strategy</li> <li>Establish the budget, schedule and planned milestones and ensure regular monitoring at all the stages of the project</li> <li>Build the project with the various experts involved in the project and ensure the integration of all technical and economic data</li> <li>Coordinate and federate the involvement of the R&amp;D experts/specialists and FAS metiers within the projects</li> <li>Manages relationships with selected suppliers/partners and supervises the implementation of co-development contracts with the legal and purchasing departments</li> <li>Ensure the promotion of projects with the departments concerned and with the client</li> <li>Participate in problem-solving groups</li> <li>Manage the transfer of the project to the CCM/R&amp;D Chemistry department</li> </ul> <ul type="circle"> <li>Lead innovation topics in the R&amp;D Chemistry laboratory</li> <li>Develop new polyurethane foams while meeting technical and economic challenges</li> <li>Build the technical part of the project </li> <li>Ensure the realization of the first tests in the R&amp;D Chemistry laboratory by implementing the chemical raw materials to produce polyurethane materials</li> <li>Analyse the root cause of product deficiencies and propose corrective actions during the works carried out on the "bench" and during the evaluation phase on a foaming machine</li> </ul> <ul type="circle"> <li>Perform physical or chemical measurements to characterize PU foam materials</li> <li>Maintain and promote contacts with suppliers of bio sourced/recycled raw materials and recycling partners</li> <li>Is responsible for the equipment, means and tools used in the R&amp;D Chemistry and Validation laboratories</li> <li>Comply with the rules relating to health, safety, and the environment </li> <li>Propose, develop, and validate test methods for new projects</li> <li>Know and use basic IT or office automation tools wisely</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><u>Fueling/Scouting, Capitalization/Standardization &amp; Network management:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li> <ul type="circle"> <li>Propose breakthrough projects in a product/process/function performance logic</li> <li>Animate research actions for new ideas, solutions to a given problem and identify adequate partners</li> <li>Provide expertise and support to innovation teams on the themes of "sustainable" padding, alternative padding, recycling &amp; depollution</li> <li>Evaluate the evolutions (technical – economic) and pre-validate them. Role of capitalization &amp; standardization of the results of the projects in which it is involved, capitalization of lessons learned and other subjects on request</li> </ul> </li> </ul><h2><b>Your profile and competencies to succeed</b></h2> <p><span><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <p>The ideal candidate will have/be:</p> <p>Minimum education level: PhD in Chemistry or Chemistry engineer with 10 years of experience</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>Experience</span>:</strong></p> <ul type="circle"> <li>Successful achievements in an industrial environment</li> <li>Polyurethane Foam experience and/or expertise</li> <li>(Minimum experience of 3 years in Organic / Polymer Chemistry)</li> <li>Innovation and development experience in automotive interior is a plus</li> <li>Fluent English mandatory</li> <li>Pack office confirmed</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>Skills and competencies:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Technical Competencies</strong></p> <ul type="circle"> <li>Organic / Polymer Chemistry</li> <li>Automotive padding specifications &amp; Test methods mastering</li> <li>Polyurethane materials / foaming process experience</li> <li>Bio &amp; recycled materials and recycling technologies knowledge</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li> <li>Regulatory watch in force</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p> <ul type="circle"> <li>Good communication &amp; leadership skills</li> <li>Capacity of organization, rigor &amp; analytical oriented</li> <li>Project management</li> <li>Team spirit, willingness to build professional relationships with suppliers, OEMs, &amp; internal cross functionals teams</li> <li>Proactive, entrepreneuri
