About the role
The Engineering Administrative Assistant provides and coordinates general administrative office and project support to assigned staff.
This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division, located in Roswell, GA or Fort Smith, AR.
- Provides administrative support to department staff as well as serve as department liaison.
- Schedules and organizes meetings, travel, and conferences for department staff.
- Creates, edits, and types correspondence, reports, bulletins, itineraries, invoices, proposals, and projects.
- Organizes and maintains paper and electronic files; filing systems, reader files, and confidential reports and records.
- Assists in departmental orientation and training to new departmental staff.
- Engineering change (EC) processing and releasing
- Purchase Order (PO) issuing and tracking for engineering and lab needs
- Field Test Equipment Tracking and payments to contractors
- Lab resource planning support using MS Project
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrates ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
- Excellent customer service and professional telephone skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in taking direction from multiple supervisors/managers simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Intermediate experience in project management coordination.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and discreetly handle confidential information.
- Basic mathematical skills including the ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
- Ability to type 45 words per minute.
HOW TO STAND OUT
- Associate degree in Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution or R&D environment
