Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for driving execution of our software and services portfolio as well as cross-functional and executive-level communications. You will be tasked with defining necessary processes to improve productivity, engage with external partners as required and overall work for a globally distributed organization of talented software engineers.
The ideal candidate for the role has extensive experience leading complex software programs, revenue sensitive programs and strategic initiatives. He/She has the ability to identify the complexity of the program, structure program milestones and deliverables and excel at execution to ensure key results are met.
In this role, you will be expected to deliver the right value to the business. Your ability to understand key priorities, create clarity for the team and maximize team efficiency will be critical to your success and the success of your programs.
The role should ideally be located in the Bay Area or Irvine area, but we are a remote-friendly organization and would consider making it a remote role for the right candidate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hands-on experience driving concurrent complex software releases
- Proactively identify upcoming risks, inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks
- Effectively communicate status to cross functional teams as well as upper management
- Responsive and keen on process improvement to improve development efficiency and accountability
- Identify risks and mitigations required to meet schedules and quality
- Able to adapt process and structure to the size of the team and project
- Collaborate with various functional groups to plan, execute and deliver
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical degree
- 6+ years of experience in program management
- Ability to coordinate among geographically distributed teams
- Experience working with OKR framework for tracking deliverables and impact to business
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills
- Understanding Flash technologies and storage concepts will be a plus
