Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role has global marketing responsibility for developing and executing on our overall Robotics product and marketing value proposition, aligned to the orthopedic business strategy. The Senior Director Product Marketing is responsible for developing and ensuring execution of all aspects of a competitive robotics solution, that would allow us to address the needs of today's and tomorrow's customers – including patient, surgeon, and administrative needs. As part of this role, the Senior Director will also identify evidence & educational needs and work together with our evidence, med ed, and sales training teams to develop the appropriate clinical & health economic evidence, medical education, and sales training program that supports our hip solution value proposition including any policy changes/market shaping activities.

This role will also involve close collaboration with our core orthopedic knee, hip and shoulder teams to ensure aligned strategies and value proposition for the orthopedic business. In addition to the above, this role will be responsible for delivering on the Global Platform Design team, working together with the VP of marketing and global KOLs to develop and execute the Robotics business strategy. The Senior Director Product Marketing will be responsible for working with the regions to raise awareness on our Robotics solution through marketing communications, tradeshow promotions, multi-channel campaigns with an emphasis on digital marketing. In addition, this role will be responsible for new product developments, working through phase gate review processes for Global product launches. This role will be responsible for launching products under the Global launch excellence governance program. The Senior Director Product Marketing will also be delivering on portfolio mix shifts and product exit strategies. This role will serve as the marketing leader developing Robotics programs to support the worldwide S&N commercial organization, including the development of programs to drive sales force readiness as well as market/customer readiness and achieve revenue targets for the overall Robotics business.  The Senior Director will also be responsible for creating and fostering a team culture, one that supports and promotes collaboration with the other cross-functional teams to ensure an aligned commercial approach.

What will you be doing?

Develop & own the overall Robotics solution value proposition, aligned to the overall orthopedic business strategy, including but not limited to:

  • Build the Robotics solution value proposition together with a cross-functional team and regions.
  • Actively participate in building the Robotics business strategy and ensure alignment of the Robotics value proposition to the overall business strategy.
  • Lead the launch of new hardware and software products and services together with regions. Hand over to regions for localization.
  • Lead the creation of marketing literature for Robotics hardware, software and services solution: Including customer-facing materials, sales training materials, med ed modules, etc.
  • Liaise with medical education on customer education plans for end to end Robotics continuum of care.
  • Assist sales training with salesforce education package including any train the trainer activities with local sales teams or regional/country marketing teams.  
  • Partner with clinical team for evidence & research needs to build evidence supporting Robotics, including any policy/market shaping activities.
  • Responsible for developing and managing budget expenses for their area of global marketing in accordance with approved marketing budgets.

Build & execute on annual Platform Design team and Consulting engagement plans:

  • Manage the design surgeon consultants, build & execute the annual engagement plans.
  • Work actively with regions to identify next-generation Robotics surgeon council candidates & support the Orthopedic Innovation councils and advisory boards.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to ensure all aspects of the Robotics business portfolio are considered & reviewed at the innovation councils and platform boards.
  • Work with the regions to ensure all regional ad board inputs are fed into the Innovation council – become the lead coordinator between the regional ad boards and global Innovation and platform design teams/councils.
