Physician Assistant

Location: Lexington Family Physicians Position: Physician Assistant
Lexington Family Physicians is a busy, private, group family practice, looking for a motivated PA to add to our staff. Experience not necessary. Will consider new graduates. Must have graduated from an accredited PA program. The position is full time. Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 1:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday. Call is minimal - telephone only, approximately 1 weekend per month, 1 day per week. NCCPA certification required, DEA license or eligible.
Compensation includes paid vacation, CME allowance, and coverage for licensure fees, medical insurance, and 401k with company match.

Duties include:

• Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis.
• Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries.
• Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes to remedy medical problems.
• Stitch wounds and perform minor office procedures as indicated
• Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies.
