SALARY:
$20.00 - $22.75 per hour. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose
Provide administrative assistance to the Faculty of the Biomedical Sciences Department.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist faculty with their planning and execution of curricular activities including labs, lectures, quizzes, and small group activities.
- Assist faculty with posting their teaching materials into the Learning Management System.
- Assist Department Chair with calendar.
- Track student attendance.
- Order and receive supplies for the department, including submission of requisitions.
- Schedule departmental meetings and other departmental events as assigned.
- Assist faculty in organizing work-related travel and reimbursement requests.
- Serve as support staff and record keeper to assigned committees including scheduling, attending, and taking minutes.
- Perform general office support duties including maintaining electronic and paper files, answering phones, completing reports, creating correspondence, proofreading, maintaining office equipment, and overall department organization.
- Assist with departmental budget management and tracking.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Biomedical Sciences Department or chair’s designee.

- Assist administration, faculty, and staff in special projects as necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate well and work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Working level of computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) as well as video conferencing (e.g., Zoom).
- Ability to work with a high level of attention to detail, organization, and quality.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to recognize and solve problems quickly.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected data (student grades, etc.)
- Ability to learn new software programs.
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Initiative and independence in carrying out job responsibilities.
- Ability to keep a clean and well-organized working environment.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in an administrative support role.
- Experience working in various software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certificates or college degree (associates or other advanced degree) from an accredited institution.
- Advanced level of computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and video conferencing.
- Professional background or experience in education.
- Knowledge of scientific and medical terminology.
- Experience with budget managem
