THE JOB:

The Casino Cashier Representative is responsible for accurately processing customer and inter-departmental monetary transactions while delivering exceptional guest service and promoting the MGM Rewards program. All tasks must be carried out in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies and procedures.


STARTING RATE: $17.50 an hour


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Execute duties in accordance with Casino credit policies, including but not limited to marker payments and issuance, deposits, withdrawals, and chip bank responsibilities, such as filling/crediting to the Pit and Cage.

  • Assist guests with all transactional needs within specified guidelines and ensure the security of Company assets, including cash, chips, and tokens, throughout the shift.

  • Promote and drive guest enrollment in the MGM Rewards program, MyVegas rewards program, and MGM Rewards Mastercard program. Issue FREEPLAY, complimentary play coupons, and adjust tier credits for guests as requested, in line with company policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate and uphold the highest level of S.H.O.W. guest service, address guest complaints by escalating to the Casino Cage Shift Supervisor, and effectively respond to inquiries about the property and local area.

  • Understand and adhere to Company AML/Suspicious activity policies; promptly report any unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft to a supervisor.

  • Promote responsible gaming principles and consistently encourage GameSense among all guests.

  • Balance all appropriate banks within the Cage with supervision at the end of the shift, adhering to departmental variance policies and completing all reports and forms accurately in compliance with Title 31.

  • Preform other job-duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • 1 year of relevant experience in major cash handling, including processing transactions, managing cash reserves, and maintaining financial accuracy.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Strong track record in delivering exceptional customer service, effectively handling guest inquiries, and resolving issues.

  • Keen attention to detail in cash processing and transaction management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact professionally with guests and colleagues, and clearly explain processes.

  • Effective problem-solving abilities, managing complex cash handling situations and addressing guest concerns efficiently.
